Everyone’s favorite Android phone, the G1 has finally made it’s way to WalMart.

T-Mobile G1 contains $144 in parts

iSuppli Corporation today released it’s analysis of the T-Mobile G1’s parts list. By iSuppl’s estimates, the G1 requires about $144 in parts to manufacture. This represents a $35 difference with the G1’s $179 subsidized price, and $225 less than the unit’s retail price.

Android Skinning Begins

Thanks to living_sword over at ModMyGphone, it looks as though the age of skinned Android phones has begun. Thus far, the mod requires a Jailbroken phone and the status icons are the only items to be altered.

I am currently using a G1 on a T-Mobile account with the Total Internet add-on. Up until today, everything has worked flawlessly. This morning I started receiving the below message in the web browser when trying to acces the internet:

Google pushes RC30 update to patch ‘Jailbreak’
