Meebo coming to Android November 7th

Meebo on Android
According to a Meebo developer blog, Meebo is planning to release an Android version of their IM client on November 7th. This is a Java implementation of the Meebo platform, rather than the web-based JavaScript client currently available. Basically, a frontend for talking to Meebo’s servers, who then talk to the IM networks. This provides for a very light weight application, with minimal bandwidth requirements.
Two videos are available in the blog post, showing Meebo functionality. The videos show the application running on an emulator, but provides a good overview of the application.
